Assist single parents affected by domestic violence with a hand-up so they can move forward by means of supportive housing while giving back to our community by supporting those with food insecurity.

Since 2017, Chat N Chew has been making an impact in the community by providing food, school supplies, household items, clothing, Christmas blessings, and working with local elementary schools in fighting hunger.

We've had an overwhelming request for temporary shelter from victims of Domestic Violence (DV) over the past 5 years. The shelters are overcrowded, and not appropriate for children. Approval for low-income housing can take as long as a year.  We've been able to assist in locating suitable housing but with the housing market on the rise, it's been difficult to find affordable places to live.  With the help of our loyal donors, we've been able to provide emergency financial assistance to make this happen.

 

Part of our vision for  2023 includes building "Streams of Water" (SOW). This will be a community of small living spaces suitable for single parents experiencing hardship from the sudden change in lifestyle due to DV. We realize that this is a HUGE undertaking, but we can not ignore the need that's been planted in our hearts. We are confident that once we reach our goal, this project will change the course of someone's life. We are in the beginning stages (as of10/22) in making this happen but we need help.  If you're led, would you consider a contribution to assist us in meeting our goal?
