Since 2017, CHAT N CHEW has been hard at work to help alleviate the hardships of those affected by Domestic Violence (DV). We help food-insecure families as well as those needing a little hand up with clothing and basic household needs. We have been successful in attaining this goal through our integrated efforts mentioned below. Our long-term goal is to provide supportive housing for those transitioning from an abusive environment to a healthy, independent lifestyle.

Quarterly Brunch

We don't just 'CHAT' during our quarterly brunches...we do a lot of chewing too! We meet to provide updates, listen to praise reports, plan our fundraisers, and future events. If you'd like to be included in our future brunches, send us an email and let us know!  We'd love to have you!

We all need a little help every now and then. We have partnered with the Tarrant Area Food Bank to help those who are lacking sufficient food. We are open by appointment only due to COVID.  Please email us and let us know if you have a need.

Giving Thanks

Chat N Chew helps families in need with Thanksgiving dinner. This event takes place from November 1st through the 17th.  If you or someone you know is needing help over Thanksgiving Holiday, please contact us.

Christmas "Give" Wrapping

We wrap all the gifts we receive from our "Dropping Dimes" event. Our volunteers chat and chew  while having fun wrapping. This event takes place on the first Saturday in December!

Children shouldn't go to school hungry. But the reality is, many kids have little to nothing to eat outside of school hours. So we decided to bridge the gap and start the "Bridges" program. Elementary school-age children receive a bag of food to take home on Fridays to last them through the weekend.

Restore & Reclaim

Our Restore & Reclaim Shoppette (RRS) offers gently loved clothes and household items. If you are in need or know someone who is, please email us.

Dropping Dimes

In honor of our late Pastor Ricky Texada, we are keeping the theme "Dropping Dimes" for our annual Angel Tree event. He was a true example of someone who loved his community and we want to continue his legacy by giving gifts to children who otherwise may not have. We know that Christmas isn't about presents, but for children, it's ALL about the gifts. This begins every year from September thru November. If you would like to be "Santa" to a child in need, please reach out to us.

Christmas Cheer

Our biggest event is distributing the gifts and having fun with the families from the communities we serve. During this event, families also go through our Storehouse and Reclaim & Restore to shop. A great way to connect with the community!
