SECTION 6: Food Assistance Needs

Chat N Chew's food pantry follows Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) guidelines and processes. Food assistance requires a completion of a TEFAP form (available on our website or in person) and amount and frequency is based on income guidelines.

SECTION 6: Program Participation & Accountability

If accepted into Chat N Chew's Housing Stability Support Program, do you agree to participate in the required program guidelines, which may include random drug screening as part of maintaining housing stability and program eligibility?

SECTION 7: Program Expectations

Chat N Chew’s goal is to support long-term stability, not provide a temporary or quick-fix solution. Each family’s situation is unique, and progress toward housing stability depends on individual circumstances, available resources, and readiness. The process may take anywhere from one week to several months. Program guidelines are designed to promote safety, accountability, and successful long-term outcomes.

Chat N Chew is a volunteer-based organization. Housing navigation and support services are provided based on available resources, partnerships, and eligibility. Assistance is not guaranteed and may depend on landlord requirements, program capacity, and applicant readiness.

SECTION 8: Applicant Acknowledgement & Release of Liability (please read)

By submitting this application, I acknowledge that Chat N Chew provides housing navigation, resource referrals, food assistance, mentoring, and supportive services. I understand that Chat N Chew does not own or manage housing properties and does not guarantee housing placement, financial assistance, or approval by third-party landlords or agencies.


I understand that all housing decisions are made by independent landlords, property managers, or partner organizations and are outside the control of Chat N Chew.


I authorize Chat N Chew to review the information provided in this application for the purpose of determining eligibility and connecting me with appropriate resources. I confirm that the information provided is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.


I release and hold harmless Chat N Chew, its staff, volunteers, board members, and partners from any liability arising from referrals, housing decisions made by third parties, or participation in services provided through this program.
