Founder, Marvee McLendon was born in the Philippines and moved to Chicago at the age of 9. She remarried in 1996 to Brian and has been married since 1996. She has 2 adult kids, and 4 grandchildren. She is an active member of her church and currently serves in Media Services. She has a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and enjoys traveling with her family. Her vision for Chat N Chew is to have a transitional tiny home community along with a mobile food pantry.  

Board Member/Treasurer, Freda Dents has been volunteering for non-profits for over 25 years. She is a member of Toastmasters, holds a Master's degree from Grand Canyon University, and a certified Life Coach. Freda is a natural prayer warrior and encourager. She works full time at a major railroad company.  Her passion for becoming a Life Coach is rooted in her deep faith in God. She and Charles have 1 son and 1 grandson. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.


Social Media Coordinator, Brandi Orgeron is originally from NOLA and a single mother of two beautiful kids, one of whom also volunteers with us! She is a Senior Conference Manager for a major roofing company for over 10 years. She enjoys fishing, traveling, and eating crawfish. She successfully uses the social media platform to reach many of our committed volunteers and partners. She is also a committed volunteer at a local homeless children's facility.


Project Manager, Trish Overs is a Custom Home Plan Designer for a major home builder. She's originally from Jersey but moved to Texas in 2011. Trish is also a recent breast cancer survivor. She and her husband Bill have 5 children. She has been an active volunteer at her church in Children's Ministry and Media Services for over 5 years. Trish rises to the occasion every time someone needs assistance.  She enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.


Partnership Relations Coordinator, Althea Osborne worked for the Social Security Administration for over 45 years. After her retirement, she and her husband Jerry relocated to Texas from Maryland. They have 3 adult kids and 9 grandchildren. She enjoys sewing and gardening. Althea was a member of the praise team at her church in Maryland.


Community Relations Coordinator, Tommora Jackson is first and foremost a woman of faith. She is a single mother of two amazing girls.  Tommora has worked for over 20 years in the healthcare industry and serves as a Clinical Faculty for a local University. She enjoys spending time with her girls and working out and hopes to do more traveling.
