Dropping Dimes

In honor of our late Pastor Ricky Texada of Covenant Church, we are keeping the theme "Dropping Dimes" for our annual Christmas Cheer event. He was a true example of someone who loved his community and we want to continue his legacy by showing the love of God to families who otherwise may not have the means to buy their children Christmas gifts. We know that Christmas isn't about presents, but with children, it's ALL about gifts! Every year, from September thru November, children sign up from all over in need of a blessing. If you'd like to be "Santa" to a child in need via our Christmas Cheer, please CONTACT US.

Provisions Closet

1/2

Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.  -  Isaiah 58:7

Part of the Provisions Closet is our pantry. We help food insecure children and families, as well as surrounding communities. We partner with the Texas Food Bank and private donors to help address hunger. We are open by appointment only and on an emergency basis.

The second part of our Provisions Closet is able to provide gently-loved clothing, household items, baby items, and shoes for those in need due to a catastrophic event or those who've left their homes due to violence. We are open on an as-needed and emergency basis. Please EMAIL US for an appointment.

Bridges

First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.  - Mark 7:27

"Bridges Foodie Bag" is a weekend food program that bridges the gap for local elementary school kids to get through the weekend when school resources are not available.  The children's choice bags are given to the school during the week with a sufficient amount of food and snacks to last through the weekend. If you are a school counselor who would like to enroll a child in this program please go to our REGISTRATION form.

Giving Thanks

Providing a simple meal around Thanksgiving is one of our busiest times of the year. This event takes place from November 1st through the 17th.  If you or someone you know is in need of this blessing, please contact us.

Christmas "Give" Wrapping

We wrap all the gifts we receive from our "Dropping Dimes" event. Our volunteers "chat" and "chew"  while having fun wrapping. This event takes place on the first Saturday in December!

Christmas Cheer

Our biggest event is distributing the gifts and having fun with the families from the communities we serve. During this event, families also go through our Pantry and Restore Closet for their needs. A great way to connect with the community!

Quarterly Brunch

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. - Matthew 18:20

We don't just 'CHAT' during our quarterly brunches...we do a lot of chewing too! We meet to provide updates, praise reports, plan, and fellowship with our volunteers. If you'd like to be included in our future brunches, send us an email and let us know!  We'd love to have you!

COUNSELING/THERAPY

We know the emotional toll it takes to leave an abusive relationship not to mention the long-term effects it has.  This is why we have partnered with local nonprofit Counselors/Life Coaches to ensure that the emotional and psychological needs of those who seek our assistance, are met.
