Holding a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a degree in Media Communications from Full Sail University, Kalea combines her academic knowledge with hands-on experience to guide her clients toward success.
Certified by the Texas Certification Board for Addiction Professionals as a Mental Health Peer Specialist, Peer Support Supervisor, and Certified Family Partner Supervisor, Kalea possesses a deep understanding of mental health and peer support dynamics. Her journey includes earning certification as a Personal Medicine Coach from the Common Ground Institute by Dr. Pat Deegan, further enriching her coaching toolkit.
With over 7 years of experience in peer support across various organizations, Kalea has honed her skills in facilitating growth and development in both peers and individuals. Her extensive background includes over 20 years of training, facilitation, and mentorship within the mental health field, demonstrating her commitment to empowering others.
Currently serving as the Director of Peer Services with Family Community Case Management, Kalea plays a pivotal role in advancing and developing peers within the mental health workforce. Drawing from her lived experience of traumatic grief and loss and domestic violence, Kalea brings empathy, understanding, and resilience to her coaching practice.
